We are seeking an ecommerce associate to join our ecommerce staff in bringing product to market. We market product through various channels, which include the major ecommerce platforms, industry specific trading floors, direct, and in the local market. The main responsibilities of this position can be thought of in three phases, the pre-listing phase, the post-listing phase and the post-sale phase. In phase 1, the pre-listing phase, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Evaluating product in the warehouse diligently and carefully
  • Carefully examining product for defects
  • Researching product thoroughly
  • Collaborating with your teammates about any questions that might arise
  • Describing the product’s features and condition honestly
  • Pricing the product accurately
  • Cleaning the product thoroughly
  • Assigning a warehouse location to the product
  • Accurately determining the weight and dimensions of the product
  • Maintaining accurate data on your productivity
  • Accurately linking supply chain data to the listing

All of this will culminate to a live, ecommerce listing that will be exposed to millions of people. In the post-listing phase and after your training period, your responsibility will be the following:

  • Honestly answering questions related to technical specs
  • Honestly answering questions related to lead times and shipping costs
  • Educating customers on alternative options
  • Providing customers with value-added upgrades

Once the product sells and after you have been thoroughly trained, you will be responsible for answering customer questions and providing solutions for any challenges that may arise. These challenges and questions are normally related to the following:

  • Compatibility
  • Transit time
  • Accessories
  • Technical capabilities

The product you will be working with most often includes data and networking equipment, personal computing equipment, telecommunications equipment, POS and barcoding equipment, medical equipment, testing and diagnostics equipment.


  • High school diploma required
  • An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Experience in customer service is preferred
  • Experience in sales, online or direct, is preferred
  • Typing ability: 40 words per minute
  • Excellent writing ability
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects, up to 60 pounds
  • Willing to work in a warehouse setting that is subject to the environment
